Refresh my curls

Art by Sharee Miller

Hey all, I hope that your hair is flourishing and your days have all been great hair days. This blog post is all about how  I refresh my curls on the day-to-day. On wash day I moisturize my hair with the intent for it to last. I take the time to really apply products that act as  moisturizers. On day two hair I  generally don’t put anything on my hair. I literally put it in a pineapple and I’m off to sleep. The next day I shake it out and go about my way. Continue reading

How I became a wash-and-go Queen

img_1119
I wear wash and goes religiously but it wasn’t always like this. I mostly wore twist and twist outs and the occasional Bantu knot sets not to mention that I was still wearing my hair straight and blow dried during the cooler seasons ( fall and winter). It wasn’t untill I was eighteen that I began my journey  in how best to go about a wash and go.  Continue reading

 Issa product review

Photo: http://asiamnaturally.com

I may spend a long time at the hair store but more times than not I’m getting the same thing. The last time I went to the hair store I decided to try something different. It doesn’t hurt that I have been seeing a lot of advertisement for As I am. The power of advertisement am I right. Continue reading

Ew girl is that your hair

Hey, all I hope that you have had an awesome hair week. I have been enjoying the DIY life, I really have. But lets just say I had some questions. Just the other day I was sitting on the couch across from my guy surfing the internet( aka looking at hair tutorials or whatever) and I had a very disturbing thought. Continue reading

I’ve decided you are the one for me

Photo: Pintrest

For the past few weeks I have been doing the same routine that I shared in whipping up a lil sumpin. I decided that I would continue the routine for the month of July. I must say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the benefits from the routine. The combination of cleansing with apple cider vinegar,  my DIY conditioner, and I can’t forget pre-pooing with coconut oil has been a game changer. Continue reading

Whipping up a lil sumpin

My last wash day I decided that it would be a DIY washday well mostly. I have been meaning to add more DIY’s  to my regiment and I thought why not start this week. I looked up a few recipes and made them into my own. What I love about DIY’s is that you can use products that you would ordinarily have lying around  the house. Continue reading
